The Sr. Biostatistician will provide study design and analytic expertise for various complex projects at the Institute for Global Tobacco Control (IGTC). The incumbent will be an active member of study teams investigating the observed or potential effects of tobacco control policy interventions. Collaborate with investigators on research and evaluation projects with primary responsibility for study design, sampling design, sample size, weighting, data analysis plans, data processing and analysis, and interpretation and presentation of study data. Recommend most appropriate statistical procedures. Design, implement and manage computerized systems for analysis of complex research data. Use a variety of statistical procedures including but not limited to categorical data analysis, time series analysis, survival analysis, hierarchical linear modeling, spatial analysis, complex survey data analysis. Prepare manuscripts, reports, fact sheets, conference presentations, and other dissemination materials. As part of the study team contribute to the development project proposals and standard operating procedures. Works with minimal supervision. Is sensitive to diverse populations. Qualifications: Master's degree in biostatistics, epidemiology, or related quantitative field. Three years related experience. Requires excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with a broad range of individuals including faculty and staff, sponsor, international tobacco control experts, as well as contractors and service providers.
