For one of these positions an individual with expertise in applied statistics is desired to support our statistics program consisting of eleven probability and statistics courses primarily at the upper division. Successful candidates will have, by Fall 2012, a Ph.D. in mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, or closely related field. Experience at teaching undergraduate mathematics with full responsibility is desired. A research and scholarship program that supports undergraduate education or undergraduate mathematics research is also desirable. For the statistics position a Ph.D. in Statistics or Biostatistics, plus experience applying statistics outside academia is highly desirable. Full Time Visiting Position: We invite applications for a full time visiting position at the Visiting Assistant Professor level for the Fall of 2012 in the Mathematics Department at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
