Swedish brownies

{from my grandma}

Beat 4 eggs and 2 cups sugar together with an electric mixer. Add 2 cups flour, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 2 teaspoons almond extract, and 1 cup (2 sticks) melted butter, mix well. Pour into a greased 9x13 pan and bake at 325 for about 35 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if you're into that...I am.

Whole-wheat oatmeal banana muffins


These healthy muffins contain a perfectly reasonable amount of butter and still manage to be tasty.
