- Prerequisites: A working knowledge of calculus and linear algebra
- Some Policies:
- Students may not use previous student's homeworks or previous solutions
- Students may work in groups on the homeworks, but the work handed in must be your own
- Students may take one sheet of paper with ORIGINAL HAND-WRITTEN notes into the exam; students can not use photo-reduced versions of hand-written notes
- Students may only use the low-level functions on calculators during an exam; it is not necessary to buy a new calculator, use your fancy one, just don't use the advanced functions
- No solutions to the exams or homeworks will be given
- Students are responsible for all notes given during class; electronic versions of handwritten notes will not be distributed
- Students are responsible for noting all policy changes made during lectures
- Students are responsible for picking up their old homeworks and exams if they miss the lecture where the exams are brought to class

There's another error in question 8 on the homework set. In part d it should be the "odds for" not the "odds against". The corrected version has been uploaded (be sure to clean out your cache beforing redownloading). Also, if you did not receive an email about this, you still haven't sent me an email to be on the course list.
Some notation for Lecture 14 has been changed; so be sure to re-download if you already got it.
There's a mistake on question 8 of the homework. The denominator of the density should have been squared. The current version is currect.

Look at the calendar to download lecture notes and homeworks. The first homework is due 9/7. Note that, unless otherwise stated, homeworks are due Friday at 5:00 PM.
