A Little Bit About Me
My name is Benilton Carvalho and I am a PhD Candidate at the Department of Biostatistics at Johns Hopkins University. My interest is application of statistical methods in biological problems.

My focus is microarray data analysis. I am developing two R/BioConductor packages: oligo and makePlatformDesign. In oligo, I implemented the CRLMM algorithm, described in Exploration, Normalization, and Genotype Calls of High Density Oligonucleotide SNP Array Data.

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
