Objective

To provide students with the theory behind and practice in the use of selected approaches and techniques used in the analysis of gene expression and protein production.

Description

The course will consist of three modules; microarray analysis, PCR and Proteomics. Each module will contain a didactic segment in which the theory, biochemistry and molecular biology of selected techniques will be outlined and a practical segment in which students will be provided with the opportunity to gain hand-on experience carrying out the analysis.
