I successfully defended my PhD thesis in March 2011 in the Department of Biostatistics at Johns Hopkins. My thesis research is on the statistical analysis of neurological data, which I continue to work on with my PhD advisor Brian Caffo. Currently I am creating exploratory methods to estimate temporal relationships between populations of neurons in the cortex. I extend previously established approaches to adjust for confounding and mediating relationships between time series in addition to developing methods for larger numbers of time series.
