I am currently a fifth year Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Biostatistics at the Johns Hopkins University. My primary research interest has focused on survival analysis of multiple event data with application to cancer epidemiology and HIV/AIDS research. Under the guidance of my advisor, Prof. Mei-Cheng Wang, I work on devoloping statistical methods to nonparametrically and semiparametrically analyze bivariate survival data with interval sampling, which are frequently encountered in collection of disease registry or survilliance data. The goal is to correctly identify the dynamic process of the disease progression based on the observed biased data.

I've also worked extensively on a number of collaborative projects in epidemiological and clinical research, and the topics span from atherosclerotic diseases, mental health, HIV/AIDS epidemiology and gerontology.

I was born and grew up in China. Before coming to the Johns Hopkins, I was an undergratuate at the University of Science and Technology of China, where I earned a B.S. in statistics in 2005.
