Welcome

I successfully defended my thesis in the Department of Biostatistics at Johns Hopkins University in May 2010. The title of my thesis is Statistical Methods for Research in Healthcare Quality and Safety from Observational Data. My advisors are Francesca Dominici and Tom Louis, and together we work with faculty from the department of Health Policy and Management and the Johns Hopkins Hospital on developing statistical methods for health services research and observational data. As a student, I was supported by the Environmental Health Training Grant, coordinated by Tom Louis.

As of July 1, 2010, I am Instructor of Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital, where I work on statistical methods for evaluating the safety and effectiveness of prescription drugs after they have been approved by the FDA using large cohort datasets.
