Research

 My current research interests include

  • inference for random effects (variances) in linear mixed models
  • (generalized) additive mixed models
  • nonparametric regression
  • longitudinal data
  • spatio-temporal processes
  • air pollution health effects
 Some projects:

I was involved in development of methodology and data analysis for the epidemiological study AIRGENE.
I was also involved in the analyses for the World Cup Event Study.

 Software:

Code and more simulation results for the paper Restricted Likelihood Ratio Testing for Zero Variance Components in Linear Mixed Models can be found here.
Fabian Scheipl wrote an easy to use R-package for the fast finite sample approximation introduced in the paper which can be found here.
A SAS macro I wrote for additive mixed models using mixed model P-splines can be found here.
