This will provide the user with the necessary information to download and load Patrick Heagerty's Splus module ord_EE: Estimating Equations for Dependent Ordinal Data.

1.

Goto the directory where you would like to save the module (probably your home directory to start with).

Type: % gzip -d ord_EE.tar.gz.

3.

Type: % tar xvf ord_EE.tar.

4.

Type: % cd ord_EE.

5.

Type: % make.

6.

Type: % make install.

7.

Type: % make load.

8.

Open ord.EE.lib.S with your favorite editor and make sure it points to the right directory. Source it into S-plus.

If my makefile doesn't do enough for you, go ahead and edit it or, for the advanced UNIX types, create your own.

Now you are ready to use Heagerty's Splus module for dependent ordinal data. Compile kochdoc.tex for instructions and a worked example.
