I am a Professor in the Department of Mental Health, the Department of Biostatistics, and the Department of Health Policy and Management of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Associate Dean for Education at the School.

My primary research interests are in statistical methodology for mental health research, particularly relating to causal inference and missing data. I primarily work in the areas of education, prevention, and intervention and dabble a bit in autism research as well.

I co-Direct the Center for Mental Health and Addiction Policy Research and am Methods Editor for the Journal of Research on Educational Effectiveness.

Every summer I teach a short course for the Department of Mental Health Summer Institute (Click here for more information). Starting in Summer 2017 I will teach two courses each year, both online: one on propensity score methods, and one on missing data methods. See the link above for more details.
