computing club

student computing club 2011-2012

The biostatistics student computing club gives biostatistics students of all levels the opportunity to develop computing skills useful for statisticians. We offer one-hour sessions approximately every two weeks on topics in computing, hosted by faculty members and senior students in the department. These sessions will take place every other Thursday from 12:00-1:15, alternating weeks with the student journal club.

The tentative schedule for the year is below. This will be updated periodically as topics and speakers are firmed up. As always, suggestions for topics are welcome, so please send us your ideas!

Contact me (Alyssa Frazee) with questions or ideas, or if you aren't on the biostat listserv but would like to receive computing club emails.
